GENERAL RULES AND REGULATIONS

PERSONAL PROPERTY

Please avoid bringing valuable personal items to work and do not leave any valuables either unattended or overnight. We cannot accept liability for the loss of, or damage to such personal property brought onto our premises.

LOST PROPERTY

All items of lost property should immediately be reported to the line Manager. Similarly, any unidentified article should be handed to the same person whilst attempts are made to discover ownership.

PRIVATE MAIL

All mail received will be opened and that will include private mail addressed to individual employees. Please do not post your private mail at our expense unless specific permission has been granted.

FRIENDS AND RELATIVES CONTACT

We discourage friends and relatives from visiting you at work except in the case of emergency.

PARKING

Private vehicles parked on or around our premises are done so at the owner's risk and we accept no liability for any damage caused to such vehicles.

Please keep your individual work area clean and tidy at all times.

COMPANY TELEPHONES

The Company’s telephones are intended for business use only, prior permission must be sought before making personal calls, permission will only be considered if the call is of an urgent/essential nature.

Similarly it would be appreciated if employees would advise their families and friends that incoming calls must be restricted to urgent/essential matters only.

Mobile telephones and the use of text messages should only be used in the performance of your duties, and should not be used for making personal calls or text messages.

Employees who choose to ignore these rules will be liable to the Company for the cost of the personal call and/or message and may be liable to disciplinary action.

CONTACT OUT OF WORK HOURS

You accept as part of your conditions of employment that from time to time the Company in the proper performance of its duties, and with good reason, may have to contact you during out of work hours.

PERSONAL MOBILES

Limited reasonable use of personal mobiles is permitted.

COLLECTIONS/FUNDRAISING

Prior permission must be sought from Management, before any collections or fundraising activities are undertaken.

GAMBLING/BETTING

All unauthorised forms of gambling/betting are strictly forbidden on the Company’s premises whether during or outside of working hours.

GIFTS AND HOSPITALITY

Employees in the course of providing services to clients, or in their dealings with suppliers, on the Company’s behalf, should under no circumstances accept money, gifts, or other forms of reward.

Employees will in no circumstances accept undue hospitality from a client, or supplier. This includes entertainment, the cost of recreation, or holidays etc.

Where refusal of an offer of a gift, or hospitality, might cause embarrassment or difficulty, the matter should be immediately referred to Management.

BUYING AND/OR SELLING OF GOODS

Employees are not permitted to buy and/or sell goods of any kind whether on their own account, or on behalf of any other party on the Company’s premises whether during or outside of working hours.

BUILDING ACCESS

For access to a business location you will be issued with a key tag, which will enable you to access the main door at the front of the building. FIT have to pay a fee for these key tags, should you misplace your key tag you may be asked to pay a Five Pound fee which will cover costs of re-issue.
